annotation: The article deals with physic and geographical (landscape) zoning of Volgograd region as a theoretical basis for singling out parameters of steppe ecosystems and landscapes and forming a representative system of specially protected natural territories. Special attention is given to studying the biological territories and landscapes of Donskoy and Shcherbakovsky natural parks as general elements of regional nature conservation framework.
