Annotation: The article highlights the essence and the main components of monitoring and the assessment of the innovative development of a region. The use of the information and analytical system for research of the development of innovative processes in a region, including storage of data and an analytical component is offered. The assessment of innovative development of the region on the basis of the allocated indicators with the application of methods of the intellectual analysis of Data mining is carried out.
