Abstract. The estimation of the material well-being of the population of the region, based on a sample survey of household budgets is represented. The author analyzes basic trends in consumer spending on average per family: buying food products and non-food goods, payment for utility services and education, and others. The degree of satisfaction of household living conditions is researched.
