Abstract. We discuss the methodological aspects of the regulation of the financial market in the context of globalization. The international experience of building the organizational and economic mechanism of regulation of the financial market is analyzed. It is proved that a necessary condition for improving the system of regulation of the financial market is the formation of its effective institutional model. The authors represent the international experience and institutional framework approach provides recommendations for improving the system of regulation of the financial market of Russia.
