Abstract. The article systematically presents the conceptual basis for specifying the concept of safe development of a socio-economic system. The authors justify the features of the challenges, threats and risks of all structural levels of economic space: state, society, region, company, personality. The composition and structure of the elements of economic security of the development of the macroregion are defined.
