Abstract. The article analyzes the trends in the development of methods of digitalization of business processes in modern companies. The analysis is presented on the example of the oil and gas industry; examples of the implementation of digital solutions in Russian and foreign practice are given. Key methodologies are presented, and approaches based on machine learning and cluster analysis are highlighted for predicting demand dynamics and optimizing oil companies’ reserves. The priorities of the development of digital systems in the industry of retail sales of petroleum products are considered. The division of variables into clusters within the clustering model, as well as the division of clients into groups within the clustering model, is studied and analyzed. Here is an example of a report on forecasting demand for gas station sales. The forecast of gas station sales, compiled using a simulation model, is reviewed. The possibilities of intellectual analysis conducted in the retail market of oil products are presented, as well as examples of the use of these tools and the effects they produce. It is concluded that digital systems should be integrated comprehensively into all modules and subsystems of the information space of the gas station company, and the software can be built on the basis of a common integrated solution of the entire structure of the oil corporation.
