AbstractThe article examines the issues of drawing up a business plan for an innovative regional software and hardware complex for the vertical cultivation of agricultural crops. The section “Startup Project Implementation Plan” describes the main stages of the project. A plan has been drawn up to attract specialists to the project team. A program for implementing the Leafy project has been developed. A plan for registering a patent for a utility model and a plan for registering computer programs are presented. Project resources proposed. It is noted that the business model and financial plan are a critical part of the business plan of a vertical farming project. The planned method of generating income in the business model is calculated. A plan for purchasing equipment for Leafy has been developed. The effectiveness of the Leafy project was assessed. Positive values of return on sales based on net profit at the end of the second and third years are presented. It is concluded that, based on an assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of the innovative Leafy project, the project to develop the “software and hardware complex for vertical cultivation of agricultural crops in a closed microclimate Leafy” is very effective and quickly pays off. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the integration of research and development on the topic of vertical farming using an integrated approach to the feasibility study of the project. The practical significance is to create a comprehensive plan for the successful implementation of a vertical farming project that takes into account all key aspects – from technological solutions to financial efficiency and environmental sustainability.
