Annotation: The focal points of the article are features of the venture capital, as well as its specifics as a source of financing of innovative activities. The main problems of the venture capital under the conditions of economy modernization (backwardness of a venture business, the absenceof enough of hi-tech venture projects in Russia, shortage of skilled staff for the management of venture projects, short term of work of the venture capital in Russia) are outlined. Measures of the support of venture financing are offered.
